Client: Ewanrigg Local Trust
Brief: To create a practical communications plan and provide ongoing marketing & communications support for a blossming community-led organisation in West Cumbria.
Description: The Ewanrigg Local Trust is a community led organisation who manages the Big Local £1m Big Local Development Project in Maryport, West Cumbria. Their aim is to make Ewanrigg a better place for residents. My first project was to devise a practical and achievable communications plan that formed part of the original bid. Since then, they have engaged me to work on several other projects including helping them to develop a digital presence with the development, creation and launch of their website, providing ongoing marketing, communications & PR support and delivering staff training and research.
Most recently I have been working on a feasibility project for a community magazine and helping them devise a town-wide campaign to unite organisations and encourage residents to engage.
I regularly provide advice and contribute to multi-agency projects and development plans.
"Rachel is always my first choice of person to work with if I need anything doing in relation to communications, marketing and P.R. She is friendly; very experienced; extremely conscientious and hard working. She takes time to understand how the organisation operates and the brief, and then always exceeds expectations in terms of the quality of work she produces."
~ Kate Whitmarsh, Development Worker at Ewanrigg Local Trust, Maryport, Cumbria
