Keswick Film Club & Festival

Client: Keswick Film Club and Film Festival

Brief: To review current marketing activity and compile a list of recommendations to help boost club membership and improve internal and external communications.

Description: Keswick Film Club is a voluntarily-run, not-for-profit organisation that exists to bring alternative films to Keswick, Cumbria. In the run up to its 20th anniversary the committee were keen to review their marketing and communications activity and see how they could bring maximise their limited resources in order to boost membership and support the annual film festival. I worked with key members of the committee and the Festival Director to look at their current practises and to make a list of suggestions and recommendations as to how they could improve internal and external communications. The review included digital and print materials, suggestions for social media content and PR stories as well as making introductions to potential partnership opportunities and other media contacts.

Client Testimonial:

We found it incredibly useful talking to Rachel. The process of listing and evaluating what we were doing already was, in itself, a learning experience. The menu of actions that Rachel then developed has enabled us to be more targeted in what we do and the way we use our resources, better understand social media and we are now seeing a positive impact in terms of numbers attending our screenings and the festival.

~ Ian Payne, Festival Director
