Client: Prism Arts, Cumbria
Brief: To provide strategic marketing support for Studio Theatre tour and build new audiences.
Description: In 2016 I was contracted as Strategic Marketing Lead for the Prism Arts Studio Theatre Company’s Regional Theatre Tour of Tales of a Long Conflict. The play, showing the human side of war, was devised by members of the theatre company and was performed at various theatre venues across the county. As part of this role I compiled and managed a marketing plan for the tour. Contract included managing and mentoring the project administrator, managing all internal and external marketing activity and communications, copywriting, overseeing the production of promotional materials, securing press coverage in local media, developing evaluation tools, collecting evidence and feedback and various other duties at events. The play achieved its audience targets and sold out in several of the venues. Social media activity and engagement was increased and media coverage was secured in local newspapers, online news sites, local radio and TV.
Other recent work for Prism includes: development of a company marketing strategy and annual marketing plan, support for funding bids and assistance with their Business Development Plan. I am continuing to support the project administrator on an ongoing basis with planning for the 2017 tour, a new crowdfunder project and various events and projects to celebrate Prism’s 30 year anniversary.
