Project: Trailer Story
Brief: To provide marketing & comms support for Trailer Story, an outdoor festival of spoken word, theatre and comedy on a touring truck in Crow Park!
Description: ETT in partnership with Theatre by the Lake and Northern Stage, and supported by the National Trust, staged an outdoor festival of theatre, comedy and spoken word in Keswick in August 2021. This weekend-long programme of outdoor events celebrated the nation’s diversity, resilience and community with performances and workshops delivered in a stunning location. With venues still closed due to Covid, this was an opportunity for people to enjoy live entertainment in a covid secure environment. I was commissioned by Theatre by the Lake to manage and co-ordinate the marketing campaign in the run up to the event.
Challenges: With theatres still closed due to Covid (but poised to open), core teams with reduced capacities at all partner venues were busy with reopening activities. Timeframes were tight and constantly changing Covid restrictions made planning incredibly difficult.
Support provided: Liaising with partners and designers to create a bold identity for the promotional materials that was used across digital and print platforms. Creation and management of a multimedia campaign including PR (newspapers, online, radio and TV), copywriting & editing, press releases, blogs, listings, posters & leafleting, outdoor banners, digital and print advertising and social media. Commissioning and briefing creatives like photographers, liaising with journalists and TV, co-ordinating community reviews.
